Step 1 β Choose the Right Pallet for Your Operation
Not all pallets are equal and not all resellers are the same. Match your pallet purchase to your selling situation:
- Selling online (eBay/Facebook): Electronics or tools pallets offer the highest individual item values and ship well.
- Selling at flea markets: Mixed pallets or home goods pallets offer variety, which moves faster at markets.
- Doing live streams (Whatnot): Mixed or electronics pallets create excitement β branded items get bids.
- Running a retail location: Home, apparel, or category-specific pallets keep your shelves consistent.
Step 2 β Request and Read the Manifest
Before buying any pallet from AmazeDeals, request the manifest by calling 437-985-8996 or sending a WhatsApp message. A manifest shows the product categories, approximate item counts and condition grades. Reading the manifest lets you estimate your potential revenue before committing to a purchase.
Look for pallets where the Grade A + Grade B content exceeds 75-80% of items. This typically means more sellable inventory and less waste.
Step 3 β Arrange Pickup or Delivery
AmazeDeals pallets are available for local pickup from our Kitchener, Ontario warehouse or freight delivery anywhere in Canada. For local pickup, you will need a pickup truck, cargo van or trailer. Pallets typically weigh 200β500 lbs. We have a forklift on-site to load your vehicle. Schedule your pickup by calling 437-985-8996.
Step 4 β Sort and Grade Your Inventory
Once you have your pallet, set aside a workspace and sort items into categories:
- Working/New (immediate sale): Items in original packaging or clearly working condition. Price at 60β80% of retail.
- Open box / Needs testing: Test electronics and appliances. Working units are priced at 40β60% retail. Non-working are "for parts."
- Lot items: Bundle similar items that are hard to sell individually into lots. A bundle of 10 phone cases sells faster than 10 individual listings.
- Discard or donate: Items that are broken beyond repair, missing critical parts, or unsanitary. Do not try to sell these.
Step 5 β Price Your Inventory Correctly
Use these tools to price your items competitively:
- eBay sold listings: Search the item on eBay, filter by "Sold Items" to see actual recent sales prices. This is the most reliable pricing data.
- Facebook Marketplace search: Search locally to see what similar items are listed and selling for in your area.
- Amazon Canada: Check the current retail price to anchor your pricing at a compelling discount.
For electronics, a general rule: Grade A sells at 70β80% of Amazon retail. Grade B sells at 40β55%. Grade C / for parts sells at 10β25%.
Step 6 β Sell Across Multiple Platforms
The fastest path to profit is selling the same item simultaneously on multiple platforms. List on eBay, Kijiji and Facebook Marketplace at the same time. First one to get an offer wins β just make sure you remove the listing immediately once sold to avoid double-selling.
Real Profit Example: Electronics Pallet
A recent AmazeDeals customer bought an electronics pallet for $800 containing 280 items. After sorting:
- 98 Grade A items β sold for avg $28 each β $2,744
- 126 Grade B items β sold for avg $14 each β $1,764
- 56 Grade C / parts β sold as lots for $180 total
- Total revenue: $4,688 | Cost: $800 | Gross profit: $3,888
- After eBay fees (13%) and shipping (~$800): Net profit ~$2,695
